Welcome the days of spring! It has been a long winter and it seems to want to hold on a little bit longer! I had planned a trip to visit my parents today however we have received close to 13 inches of new fallen snow today which is continuing to accumulate.
What do you do when Mother Nature gets in the way? There is nothing except accept it and realize we live in an area of the country where this thing can happen. Airports are closed, travelers are stranded, and time seems to be standing still.
This a great time to spend time with the family, one daughter home from college snuggled and napping in the chair and two others napping near me while watching a movie. I am reminded how much I love these young adults and how privileged I am to be their mother.
Take time today to tell those close to you how much you care. Make the best of any situation you are in. We know things will get better, snow will melt, and grass will turn green again. With this come hopes for dreams to be realized, goals to be met and life to be lived. Live with kindness in your heart and a smile on your face.
