More on Attitude~~~~~~Susie Austin

The greatest discovery of my generation is that a

human being can alter his life by altering his

attitudes.  ~William James

I write about attitude often as it quite possibly is one of the most life changing things we can accomplish in a relatively short time. Attitudes are contagious and we have the ability to draw people to us with a good attitude just as we can with a bad attitude.

We speak of the PMA or positive mental attitude often but have you really taken a look within to see what changes are needed to be happy? Now we are winding down on the year and have a few short weeks left. Have you been the person you want to be? I am speaking of your attitude and how you treat others. Do you like to be around you? Do others like to be around you? If the answer is no or you have room for improvement now is the perfect time to make a few changes and make these last weeks of the year memorable.

We need to understand no one succeeds at anything in life without relationships. The nature and quality of your relationships can determine the quality of your life. The attitude you have to develop is one of, I am ok and your ok.This means you have a positive about yourself and others. Is this difficult? Of course it is, but the benefits are endless from better health both physically and mentally to quality friendships, and peace of mind.

I personally feel the greatest gift you can give yourself is your attitude as this will make or break you. It takes a bit of work and no one expects you to be perfect we all need to be developing and maintaining our PMA.

More than anything the nurturing of PMA empowers you to create a successful lifestyle and in turn a successful you! Try to abstain from negative conversation especially gossip or tearing down others. Understand you have the choice and the freedom to exercise it.

Develop an attitude of gratitude and understand it is a choice you make every day. When you get up in the morning start thinking “today I choose to have a good attitude” keep it etched in your mind throughout the day and don’t let anything detour you. You will find when you do start to practice this, results will be awesome!

This is probably one of my all time favorite pieces on attitude and I am delighted to share it with you today.

Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.
