Dance In The Rain or Walk In the Snow~~~Susie Austin

Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly…….
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.
It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

A good friend sent this to me yesterday and I love it! We talk much on attitude probably because it is very important. Along with attitude comes your every action and reaction.

Be kinder than necessary, isn’t this an awesome statement? It is true everyone is fighting some sort of battle, we don’t know what that might be and some are much more difficult but everyone has battles. This why it is very important to try not to judge others as we just do not know the difficulties others are facing. I recall the story of the elderly couple in the store being very slow and others being impatient with them, they had just found out she had cancer and they did not have much time left together.

Live simply, try to not make things to complicated, we live in a material world, challenge yourself to not be as material in this coming year.

Dance in the rain or walk in the snow in my case.  I had lived in the desert for many years and have since them moved back to WI and the weather that comes with it. I have never been much of a winter person, but the last two days have been amazingly beautiful. The heavy snow stayed on the trees and everything including the stop signs.  My daughter and I marveled all the way to dropping her off at school how breathtaking everything was. I was almost shocked when I arrived at work that very few shared my enthusiasm for the beauty of the morning.

Please everyone “Stretch your eyes” and enjoy the day with all the gifts we have been given. Where ever you are go out and look around you see the beauty of nature, take time to reflect on the wonderful things in your life today. Light your favorite candle instead of waiting for just the right time, Take a bubble bath, enjoy every bite of your favorite chocolate bar. When was the last time you caught snowflakes on your tongue or went puddle stomping? Most importantly my friends please do not under any circumstances forget to laugh!
