Facing Your Fears

“Each time we face our fear,

we gain strength,

courage,

and confidence in the doing.”

I think facing our worst fears are the ones that usually never happen. Think about a situation in your life and how you initially thought what could happen. Did you think the worst right away the end result was no where near what your original thought was?

These thoughts are the same ones that prevent you from trusting yourself, your abilities, and your instincts. If you approach a potential roadblock with doubt and hesitation, you may resist and not follow through, but if you move forward with confidence and courage you will climb that wall, possibly inch at a time until you can pull yourself over the top.

The key is confidence; you will build confidence by facing your fears and problems and moving forward in your life. Once you have realized you are capable of this and the only fear you have is fear itself you should have the motivation to move forward.

I read someplace once, the unknown monster under the bed us always scarier than the dust bunny reality. I like the statement but I like the message even better, we to take reality checks at times and step away from the fear.

Does this mean I am going to get a pet snake? Absolutely not we need to remember common sense in everything we do or attempt to do. Today I suggest moving forward with adventure you have been thinking about without the fear of failure or disappointment. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you have at least tried which should give you confidence to move forward in other areas of your life.
