What Does Your Conscience Tell You~~~Susie Austin

I think we all have a little voice inside us that will guide us. It may be God, I don’t know. But I think that if we shut out all the noise and clutter from our lives and listen to that voice, it will tell us the right thing to do.

Christopher Reeve

Do you ever get the feeling you should be doing something other than what you are doing? Do you feel guilty about not doing your best on a project or fudging a little on your timesheet at work?  Maybe spending a bit too much time at work and neglecting your family? There is a little nagging voice inside that tells you something is wrong. This is your conscience talking to you, however do you listen? If you have been ignoring your conscience for sometime it is not to late to wake up and pay attention. Listen to that inner voice, when you work, do the best job you possibly can even if no one else notices. When you plan your day make sure it is full and you plan for time with loved ones and worthwhile tasks.

Does your conscience talk to you when you’re not being the best person you can be? Do you always talk kindly about others or do you get caught up in negative gossip and being unkind. Your conscience should be that inner voice telling you something is wrong. My suggestion today is again, begin to pay attention again, listen to the inner voice and you will be a much better person for it.

The definition of conscience is to differentiate the difference between right and wrong. It should lead to feelings for remorse when you do something morally wrong. It means living with integrity according to your values.

Today I encourage you to examine your conscience, are you the person you want to be? If not, begin to take steps toward the life and the person you dream of. It is all within your reach, grab on, take hold and be that person of integrity whom others respect and admire. Listen to the inner voice when it is talking to you, as this can be your guide.
