Dogs and Cats~~~Susie Austin

Dogs have Owners, Cats have Staff.

Do you have any pets? I have a dog and 2 cats some fish and a few tadpoles on my porch that my daughter caught on the sidewalk during the flooding last week. Today I would like to address the differences between cats and dogs. My dog is thrilled to come running up to my yapping and wagging and looking for treats. On the other hand the cats are content to live by their own rules on their own time and when they feel like will come and curl up on your lap.

My dog enjoys playing fetch and tricks such as sit and shake while my cat looks at the dog like she is crazy. It is fun to watch the differences between them.

Let’s relate this to our life and the people we associate with. Who would you say are the puppies and people pleasing tail wagging dog like friends and acquaintances. Who do you know that has the laid back, I am cool attitude that cats seem to possess. Maybe a combination of the two is the best of both worlds.

Remember being a little silly at times is necessary and never lose your sense of humor.

  1. Hi Susie,

Cats may have staff, but dogs have friends:) I’ve never lived with a cat (I am not sure whether I’d be comfortable), but I know that Mercury used to have a cat. That was much before I was adopted. But then, I do agree, cats have that thumb-their-noses-at-you attitude, which I can live without:)

Licks to your dog and wags to you:)
