Save The Whales~And Your Fellow Man~~Susie Austin

May you, and all those you love,
be so blessed and fortunate

to be surrounded by people
who will help you get untangled
from the things that are binding you.
And, may you always know the joy
of giving and receiving gratitude.

There was a story about a whale in San Francisco who had gotten tangled in a web of crab traps and lines. It was so heavy she could barely stay afloat. There were hundreds of pounds of rope and traps around her body, tail, and a line stuck in her mouth. A fisherman spotted her and contacted an environmental group who worked for hours to set her free as she was quite bad off and the only way to save her was to cut the ropes that entangled her.

When she was free after many hours of work, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed gently around-she thanked them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was
following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.

This is a beautiful story to reflect on today. My encouragement for you today is to remember there is comfort and joy in showing kindness to others. Recognize and be grateful for the people in your life, and all things God has created for us to explore and care for including the whales, and those you find tangled in the webs of life.

Be blessed,

Susie Austin
