Are You Pressured For Time?~~Susie Austin

“Time lost is time when we have not lived

a full human life, time unenriched by experience,

creative endeavor, enjoyment, and suffering.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Do you ever feel pressured for time, there never seems to be enough time to do all the things you have planned for the day? When we are short on time we tend to eat fast food or eat on the run which ends up being for convenience not nutrition. We exercise less; spend less time on our emotional, spiritual and physical needs.

If you have children think of how much time was spent in the car. I remember the kids eating dinner out of plastic containers on the way to some kind of practice.

Well my friends it is time to take your life back! Today I am going to give you a few suggestions to help you in your quest to “Take Your Life Back!”

Set aside some me time, I suggest one hour a day, however if that is not possible try with fifteen minuets and work your way up. Have a happy place a me place like a nook or someplace your own where you can spend quiet time reading, writing, crafts, or whatever makes you happy.

Learn to say no! This took a long time for me and I still have trouble with it from time to time. Remember you are not a super hero and saying no occasionally is necessary.

Manage your time, prioritize your tasks and do the less favorite ones or the most difficult first. Getting these out of the way first will cause you less stress and allow you time at the end of the day for things you enjoy.

What are your energy drainers for the day? Is possible to eliminate them for at least reduce time spent on them?

Your life is about choices, we all have the same twenty four hours in a day. It is our choice how we use them. Use them wisely, make good decisions, spend time with loved ones and live your life well. Be kind to others and don’t sweat the small stuff because in the end it just doesn’t matter. You will never be able to read every book, travel to every destination or complete every thing you would like to. Choose wisely,  be happy, and live well.
