Happiness Depends on Our Attitude~~~Susie Austin

I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions and not upon our circumstances”

Martha Washington

Do you ever have any of those days, weeks, months or even years where it feels like trouble and difficult times seem to follow you around and nothing seems to go your way? Sometimes it feels as though nothing you do can turn out right and when you do try something new, things just seem to get worse. No one could blame you for feeling sorry for yourself right?  Wrong answer! The right way is to lift yourself up taking positive steps toward the future and remembering the past is just that, the past. We learn from it, grow from it and we become better people from it. We learn how our experiences can help others and we give back to others. Learn who you are on the inside who your true self is, who and what you have become by your past experiences good and bad.

The key to moving forward in a positive direction is attitude. It is in our power to work on our attitude and make sure we continue to make progress. We learn how to move forward out of difficult times, and we learn from defeat we can be victorious.

Never lose faith and never give up hope, pray everyday and be grateful for all the gifts you have been given.

  1. I think it’s important to recognize that changing our attitude takes energy and effort. Are we willing to put out just a little extra energy and effort to feel better? It sure isn’t easy. That’s why it’s called EFFORT. We all have the freedom of choice, and we can definitely CHOOSE to have a good attitude! Good post!

  2. Suzie Sunshine. it must be nice to not have junkie sons who wont work and your entire life is spent working just to buy methadone.
they cant or wont get jobs. I cant not get it or they will die.. read up on cold turkey methaone sometime. My attitude sucks, but i love my kids. i just cant continue living like this. Dunno what to do. Well I do, and prolly will very soon.
If my Happiness Depends on my Attitude, please tell me how I can change my attitude about having 2 grown men who are recovering junkies living in my house not working. I have no life. I work and pay for methadone. I didnt CHOOSE this. I inherited it.
