Happy Or Miserable? Choose Happy~~~~~January 2

The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.   Carlos Castaneda

I think this is a wonderful time of year to briefly touch on optimism. Do you feel today you’re happy or miserable? I would like for you today to look at the last year and see what you personally emphasized.

My suggestion is to realize the amount of time is the same and consciously make an effort to use the time to make ourselves happy.

This begins with goals and dreams and since it is the beginning of a new year I would hope you consider making a list of things you would like to accomplish within the next year. Have a time line in which you would like to have them finished.

Make sure they are attainable as it can be discouraging to have goals that are unreachable. You will not be a rock star by the end of the year but it is possible to begin writing songs or playing an instrument. The goal might be to have fun with music again. Consider a karaoke machine and you could be one in the privacy of your own home. )

Kidding aside this is the perfect to begin the New Year with hopes, and dreams of a happy life. It may take a bit of work but the end results are wonderful and satisfying.

Make the effort to use your time wisely and work on happiness instead of being miserable. At the end of the year the success will be worth the effort!   Imagine a year of happiness and realize this is all within your reach, grab on and enjoy the ride!
